McMillen, Inc. seeks a hands-on Crane Mechanic with experience in heavy equipment repair, crane assembly/disassembly, rigging, signaling, and marine operations. You will travel extensively (about 80%) to various job sites and troubleshoot equipment as needed.

Crane Mechanic - Heavy Civil Construction

McMillen, Inc. is looking for aCrane Mechanicthat is a hands-on individual with experience in heavy equipment repair, preventative maintenance, boats, crane assembly, disassembly, rigging, signaling, and/or barge operations. This role involves extensive travel (approximately 80%) to various job sites and requires a mechanically inclined candidate with a willingness to learn and adapt. The ideal candidates may have prior maintenance, heavy equipment repair, crane experience, or a background in mechanics with an aptitude for marine and crane-related operations.

All Construction Division offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screen. In accordance with client requirements, security clearance is required and is determined based on background check results.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the assembly and disassembly of cranes at various job sites.
• Perform rigging and signaling duties to ensure safe operations.

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to travel extensively to various jobsites in the area.
• Teachable attitude with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing work environment.
• Must be safety-conscious and dependable.
• Pass a drug test and background check.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Regular, predictable attendance is required.
• Ability to get along and work effectively with others.
