As a Crane Inspector / Service Technician, your primary objective is to execute repairs, routine maintenance, installations, and safety inspections, along with load testing for overhead bridge cranes, hoists, and diverse material-handling machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and fix issues with overhead bridge cranes, hoists, and associated material-handling systems.
- Execute preventive maintenance, new installations, inspections, and load tests directly at client sites.
- Ensure all service documentation and reports are finalized with precision and submitted in a timely manner.
- Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by adhering to all established operational procedures.
- Support general facility upkeep, which may include electrical tasks, snow clearing, lawn care, and other maintenance duties.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of high school or GED, or a comparable blend of professional experience and schooling.
- Minimum of one year of relevant training or hands-on experience.
- Demonstrate advanced electromechanical and electrical diagnostic capabilities, specifically regarding three-phase systems, control-voltage circuits, and variable frequency drives.
- Interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and blueprints with ease.
- Utilize fundamental mathematical operations involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Foster effective communication and problem-solving to ensure you can follow complex instructions and exercise good judgment.
- Show proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and demonstrate the capacity to master internal software and iPad-based service management tools.
Additional Requirements
- Maintain a current driver's license and the capacity for daily travel.
- Be prepared to work during evenings or weekends when the schedule demands.
- Provide your own set of essential hand tools, such as electrical tools, wrenches, and screwdrivers.
