Job summary

Worley in Baytown, Texas seeks an experienced Carpenter Foreperson to operate overhead cranes, lift and position loads, and supervise crane crews on industrial construction projects. You will follow safety procedures, communicate with signalers, and ensure equipment is ready for use.

The ideal candidate has minimum 4 years in industrial construction/maintenance, crane operator certification, and NCCER credentials (written or performance).

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance industry experience
• Crane operator certification
• NCCER Certified (written or performance verified)

Responsibilities

• Observes load hookup and determines safety of load
• Manipulates or depresses crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions
• Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism
• Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions
• May attach load to hook or another crane accessory prior to operating crane
