Job summary

Liebherr-America, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician for Mobile & Crawler Cranes to service customers in the Northeast U.S. The role requires extensive travel (domestic and international) up to 100%, diagnostic repair of cranes, and on-site maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities include repairing parts, testing equipment after service, and reading technical drawings. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required; overtime and on-call duties

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED and at least one year of experience with heavy equipment or machinery, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 100% of the time.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver license.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call duty.
• Proficiency in PC-based word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications.
• Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
• Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.
• Read, understand, and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
