Job summary

Lift Solutions is hiring a Crane Designer to develop detailed designs for overhead, gantry, and jib cranes, hoists, and associated lifting equipment. You will produce 2D/3D CAD models, assembly and fabrication drawings, and BOMs while coordinating with engineering and manufacturing teams to meet customer specs and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical design skills and hands-on CAD experience, with knowledge of CMAA, ASME B30, OSHA, and welding practices.

Qualifications

Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical design or related field.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication details.
Familiarity with CMAA, ASME B30, OSHA and welding symbols.

Responsibilities

Create 2D/3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings for crane systems.
Design crane bridges, end trucks, runways, trolley assemblies, and hoist supports.
Develop general arrangement drawings and BOMs from customer specs.
Verify designs with calculations, ensure safety and standards compliance.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams.
Provide material specs and support purchasing with BOMs.
