We are hiring for a Craftsman Pool Deck Installer, to learn and master the art of rubberized resurfacing (primarily for pool decks). This is a position in which you can excel, learn an in-demand trade, grow, and make a solid career.

However we like to be upfront and let you know the difficulties of this position: the physicality, heat tolerance, and attention to detail required for this position are not for everyone. Therefore we require 2 years of outdoor Florida labor experience. Please don't apply if this will be the hardest work you have done so far.

Job offering:

• $23/hr starting pay (equals $47,840 per year, plus overtime) with raises as skills and responsibilities increase, usually 2 within first year (up to $30+/hr as foreman within 2yrs).
• Consistent, full-time work (40 hrs per week guaranteed if you want it, and overtime is often available). Our services are highly in-demand and we are maintaining several months of work on the books even in the slower season.
• Even on rain days, we will keep you busy (if you want).
• Typical hours for a work week is 40-50 hrs. We work with a poured surface and have to work until a reasonable stopping point is reached, sometimes making for a longer day.

About the work:

We install luxury rubberized concrete resurfacing (usually on pool decks and patios), play surfaces and more. This is artistic finishing work that is hand troweled, offering a lot of challenge, gratification, and an ability to learn or improve high-demand construction skills. Although most of the work is local to Fort Myers/Naples, Universal Studios in Orlando is one of our clients and will require occasional 1-2 week work trips (travel work is offered at a higher pay rate and travel expenses are covered). We are very highly skilled and trusted by these high-profile clients and you will be learning industry best practices with our company.

Previous experience in our systems is not necessary, only a willingness to learn, work hard, and a strong attention to detail. Previous work in similar trades is highly valued -- these similar trades include stucco, drywall, epoxy floors, or tile installation. The first skillset you will learn is mixing, followed by troweling. We need additional foremen, so there is room for long‑term growth at this company and there is much demand for our services. Future opportunities include Skilled Troweler, Foreman, Installation Supervisor, Sales Consultant, and for particularly excellent employees, potential future franchise ownership/management.

Most of our work will be in the Fort Myers/Naples area. You would meet us at our Fort Myers warehouse and travel with the crew to the job site. Travel time from our warehouse to the jobsite is paid.

Requirements:

• Required -- past labor work experience in Florida summer weather. We need people who can 'take the heat' although we have invested heavily to make the jobsite much cooler than most outdoor jobsites.
• Past experience in stucco, flooring installation, drywall, carpentry, concrete, or tile, is preferred but not mandatory. We will train you on this unique system whether experienced or not.
• High school degree or equivalent.
