Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2.50 GPA.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance activities to maintain, repair, inspect, install, rebuild, construct, and troubleshoot power plant equipment.
• Learn proper use of hand tools, power tools, hoist, drill presses, grinders, and other equipment.
• Assist employees in carrying out work assignments.
• Clean equipment undergoing repairs and move material, supplies and equipment as needed.
• Be able to learn to read and make simple drawings and sketches.
• Prepare and take EEI POSS/MASS test measuring aptitude, knowledge retention, and problem solving.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Overview

• Perform maintenance activities as required to maintain, repair, inspect, install, rebuild, construct, and troubleshoot various power plant equipment.
• Learn the proper use of hand tools, power tools, hoist, drill presses, grinders, and other tools and equipment pertaining to the work.
• Assist employees in carrying out work assignments.
• Clean equipment undergoing repairs, handle and move material, supplies and equipment in connection with the work and work area.
• Be able to learn to make and read simple drawings and sketches.
• Prepare and take the Edison Electrical Institute (EEI) POSS/MASS test measuring job responsive aptitude, ability to retain knowledge, and problem solving skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
