Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking a capable Craft Foreman to oversee field crews on our Florida projects, ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance, and budget adherence under the guidance of the Project Superintendent.
The role demands strong communication, hands-on supervision, and a five-year track record in construction. You will coordinate with project managers, safety directors, and field teams to deliver reliable, on-time results across active sites.
The Craft Foreman is responsible for successful completion of field tasks with quality construction, zero accidents, and within budget as assigned by the Project Superintendent. Additionally, the Craft Foreman will provide support and accurate information to the Project Superintendent.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, must be current with training as competent person in trenching, scaffolds, rigging, confined space, and fall protection, current in OSHA 10-hour, First Aid & CPR, SWPPP Inspector, silica, Risk Management, and Accident training are essential for success in this role.
Formal Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Work Experience: Five (5) years construction-related experience with record of quality and profitable craft work.
Requires regular communication with the Project Manager for project issues, with the General Superintendent and Safety & Health Director for labor, material and equipment issues and training, with the Senior Craft Foreman and the Project Superintendent for daily tasks.
