Job summary

Fremont Brewing in Ballard, WA, is hiring a full-time Brewer/Cellar Person to run brewing operations at our main production facility. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a production brewery, a passion for craft beer, and a collaborative spirit.

You will work across cellar, wort production, packaging support, barrel work, and QA/QC, while maintaining a safe, clean, tour-ready facility and upholding recipes and SOPs.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a production brewery.
• Experience with brewing equipment is preferred.
• Willingness to work first and second shifts and weekends on a rotating schedule.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle all brewing operations including cellaring, wort production, cleaning, yeast handling and CIP.
• Assist in periodic packaging to support packaging department needs.
• Manage oak barrel work: cleaning, filling, and related duties.
• Participate in professional organizations and training opportunities.
• Maintain QA/QC standards and conduct sensory evaluations.
• Follow recipes and SOPs; record brewing, cellaring and fermentation data.
• Perform duties as assigned by Brewing Manager.
