Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a CQV Start-Up/Commissioning Engineer to join our Life Sciences team in the United States. You will develop start-up and commissioning plans, create documentation, and execute these plans for facilities, utility systems, and equipment for biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, gene therapy and cell therapy clients.

You will lead collaborative efforts, apply GMP/GDP standards, and coordinate with OEMs and construction partners to ensure safe, compliant start-ups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of Start-Up and Commissioning experience in the Life Sciences.
• Understanding of GMPs.
• Understanding of GDPs.
• Willingness to travel to client locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop Start-Up and Commissioning Plan and execution strategies.
• Develop System Start-Up and Commissioning Plans for all systems.
• Generate and execute Start-Up and Commissioning documents per GDPs.
• Startup equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Facilitate meetings for the start-up team.
• Maintain action item lists and engineering change logs.
• Provide technical assistance and input.
• Coordinate OEM service technicians as needed.
• Coordinate with construction management firm as needed.
• Apply engineering knowledge of HVAC, black utilities, instrumentation and controls to support clients.
