Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a technically skilled professional to architect CPU performance features and collaborate with RTL and implementation teams to optimize critical workloads for maximum efficiency.

You will develop performance simulators and explore correlation tools, ensuring RTL performance aligns with simulation results. The role requires strong C/C++ coding abilities and experience in performance modeling, with a focus on improving hardware and software performance across Apple’s processor

• Architect cutting-edge CPU performance features in collaboration with RTL and implementation teams


• Identify and devise solutions for hardware and software performance bottlenecks

Minimum Qualifications

• Academic or industry experience in CPU performance architecture, micro-architecture design, and performance analysis


• Academic or industry experience working in a performance modeling environment


• Academic or industry experience using C/C++

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science


• Proficiency in scripting languages including Perl and Python


• Knowledge and experience with common performance benchmarks and workloads


• Knowledge of OS internals and compiler technology a plus


• Ability to problem solve and prove your own ideas
