Job summary

Napa County is hiring Child Protective Services Workers I/II to protect and support children in the community. Roles involve casework in adoptions and protective services, including service provision and coordination with families and partner agencies.

Vacancies may be filled at I or II level depending on education and experience. A Master’s in Social Work or counseling-related degree is required, with CSWE accreditation preferred. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited school or a Master’s in Counseling with supervised placement.
• Qualifying counseling degrees include Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, Addiction Counseling, or Counseling Psychology.
• Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate complex social services techniques across adoptions and protective cases.
• May authorize or directly provide services as needed.
• Ensure compliance with program requirements and case documentation.
