Heartland Consulting is seeking a Response Worker (CPS Investigator) to conduct child protection investigations in Red Lake Nation, Minnesota, with field work across the reservation and travel to off-reservation placements. You will interview children, families, and collateral contacts, assess safety, and lead court work through EPC hearings as needed.

The role requires 24/7 on-call rotation, with shifts within 7:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m. coverage and no ongoing case management.

Formación

• Associate degree in sociology, psychology, counseling, human services, criminal justice, or related field; CSWE-accredited preferred for social work
• At least two years CPS investigation or child protection experience
• Valid driver's license; ability to obtain background check clearance; training within 15 days of duty

Responsabilidades

• Conduct CPS investigations and safety assessments within SOP timeframes
• Interview child victims, family, and collateral contacts using trauma-informed methods
• Lead EPC court proceedings and provide testimony as needed
• Develop investigation summaries and recommended outcomes within 15 days
• Coordinate with tribal and federal partners and MDTs
• Provide field safety plans and immediate safety actions as required
• Handle on-call rotation and after-hours reports; triage priorities
• Assist in transporting and supporting victims with necessary items in emergencies
