Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Must maintain certification and/or license renewals as required by the state.
• May travel between office locations; must be insurable by the company’s insurance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment before, during, and after procedures.
• Escort each patient to the operatory in a timely manner
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during and after treatment
• Assist in preparing patients for surgery and monitor vital signs and anesthesia levels
• Confirm medical history with patient and note any changes
• Ensure patient is educated on the treatment being performed
• Assist with passing instruments, suctioning, and supplying materials during surgery
• Document patient information and surgical details into the EHR
• Provide post-operative care instructions and follow-up
• Stock operatories and sterilization areas
• Represent the practice professionally and cooperatively
