Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AAPC CPC certification required.
• Experience with EMR and medical coding preferred.
• Good knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review charge data to assign CPT and ICD-10 codes for physician services.
• Enter patient demographics and insurance data into the billing system.
• Scrub claims to ensure compliance with payer rules.
• Collaborate with Reimbursement staff to resolve coding inquiries.
• Ensure all billable services are captured and batch processing is correct.
