Job summary

Ethos Risk Services is seeking an Experienced Field Investigator to perform stationary and mobile surveillance, obtain video and photo evidence, and draft thorough, court-ready reports for clients.

The role requires self-motivation, reliability, and the ability to work independently in varying conditions, often starting early and traveling within a 2‑hour radius of residence. Previous covert surveillance experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Covert surveillance experience and ability to produce thorough investigative reports.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Reliable personal vehicle (preferably with tint).
• Handheld camcorder with zoom and covert camera capability.
• Reliable laptop, cell phone and internet for communications and admin tasks.
• Active Private Investigator license or willingness to obtain one (where required).

Responsibilities

• Case Preparation: review preliminary reports and case information.
• Field Surveillance: perform covert surveillance from vehicle and capture high-quality video evidence.
• Report Writing: draft thorough, court-ready investigative reports.
• Documentation: finalize case file and upload video footage via laptop at end of day.
• Communication: coordinate with field supervisor and operations teams.
