Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a General Surgeon for a 72-hour weekend coverage assignment in Meridian, MS. The role spans adult, pediatric, and trauma patients with required AV shunt experience. Inpatient rounding is performed daily, with call coverage included.

Qualifications

• Must have General Surgery training with experience across adult, pediatric, and trauma patients.
• AV shunt experience required.
• Must be able to cover 72-hour weekend shifts (Fri 7am–Mon 7am).

Responsibilities

• Provide Friday 7am–Monday 7am coverage with daily inpatient rounding.
• Participate in both inpatient and outpatient practice settings.
• Perform appendectomy, central lines, thoracic and abdominal procedures as required.
• Respond to holiday coverage as needed (Thu–Mon).
