Job summary

The City of Springfield is seeking a Municipal Court Bailiff to maintain security for day and/or night sessions and to guard the courtroom and front entrance of the Municipal Court building. Flexibility in work hours is required as the schedule can vary.

OPEN UNTIL FILLED with guaranteed review for applications received by September 18th, 2026. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least two years in security or law enforcement-related work.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or have G.E.D.
• Requires two years experience in a security or law enforcement-related profession.

Responsibilities

• Provide required security in the courtroom for the Municipal Court Judge assigned to the docket during court sessions and at the front entrance of the Municipal Court building.
• Must be able to have a flexible work schedule.
