Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a Highschool Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Must possess a valid MT driver’s license.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening, physical, and hearing test.
• Must pass a background investigation conducted by the Missoula County Sheriff's Department.

Responsibilities

• Provides general security services for the Missoula County Courthouse and adjacent county facilities.
• Monitors entry/exit points and video surveillance systems.
• Maintains a highly visible presence to deter crime and assist the public.
• Responds to emergencies, evacuations, and incidents to ensure public safety.
• Performs bailiff duties for District Court and may assist other courts.
• Assists with courtroom security and calls for assistance as needed.
• Maintains security of firearms and related equipment.
• Completes reports and supports court personnel as required.
