Job summary

The Official Court Reporter position with the Supreme Court of Arkansas is responsible for reporting all judicial proceedings assigned to the judge and preserving the court record and exhibits. You may prepare official transcripts upon request and must maintain integrity and decorum in court settings.

Responsibilities include attending all courtroom proceedings, transcribing accurately, managing transcript orders, and complying with Arkansas Supreme Court Rules.

Qualifications

• Certified Court Reporter in good standing per Arkansas Supreme Court Rule.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and apply court rules and procedures.
• Maintain neutrality and accurate court reporting under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Must be in courtroom, prepared, and report to all proceedings.
• Transcribe court proceedings into accurate transcripts.
• Maintain neutrality and protect the record and exhibits.
• Manage transcript orders for timely distribution of transcripts.
• Travel within the judicial circuit as required.
• Operate per Arkansas Supreme Court Rules.
• Maintain equipment and continue education requirements.
