Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level team member to support store operations, assist customers, and learn a variety of retail tasks related to services, product handling, and customer service. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and helping maintain a welcoming store environment for guests.

You will interact with customers, contribute to daily store tasks, and gain exposure to multiple departments. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced setting and wants growth

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and support store operations on a busy retail floor.
• Move and return shopping carts from exterior to interior.
• Help keep parking lot, lawn, and store trash organized and collected.
• Assist with snow removal and general cleaning of store areas and restrooms.
• Support service desk, entrance, check lanes and parking lot teams.
• Coordinate with departments across Health & Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion, Pets, Hardware, Card & Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. Meijer Courtesy Team Members enjoy interacting with people and know what ‘above and beyond’ customer service means.

What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
