Job Description

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, ensuring contents are not damaged and striving for at least five items per bag.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bascarts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
6. Return merchandise to shelves and gather bascarts for return.
7. Clean spills, pick up trash inside the store and parking lot, and clean all areas inside and outside the store.
8. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
9. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
10. Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.
11. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
12. Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
13. Create a welcoming environment for customers and assist with questions about products.
14. Follow all laws and company guidelines.
15. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts effectively.
16. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
17. Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary.
18. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
19. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
