Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger is responsible for bagging groceries at check out for customers.
2. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of basket for checkout.
3. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
4. Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
5. Return merchandise to store shelves and gather carts for return.
6. Clean spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.
7. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
8. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
9. Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
10. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
11. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
12. Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions about products.
13. Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.
14. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
15. Manage conflicts in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
16. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
17. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
18. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
19. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
