Job Description

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout, striving for efficiency and care to prevent damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves.
• Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all store areas.
• Handle seasonal merchandise and conduct price checks as needed.
• Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions, and follow all laws and guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts appropriately.
• Act with honesty and integrity, seek assistance when needed, and support customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
