Responsibilities

1. Essential Job Functions:
2. Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
3. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
4. Assist in removing merchandise from baskets for checkout.
5. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
6. Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
7. Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return shopping carts, and clean spills, trash, and store areas.
8. Handle seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, and conduct price checks.
9. Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.
10. Adhere to food safety regulations, inspect equipment, and report repairs needed.
11. Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions, and follow all laws and company policies.
12. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, manage conflicts, and act with honesty and integrity.
13. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
14. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
