Job summary

Vallarta Supermarkets Inc. is hiring a Courtesy Clerk to deliver friendly, high‑quality customer service at the front end. You will bag groceries, assist with carry-out, and help customers locate products in a fast-paced, festive environment while maintaining cleanliness and safety.

You'll participate in six steps of service, follow store procedures, and collaborate with teammates to ensure a welcoming shopping experience. Flexibility for afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Friendly, courteous personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to learn store product locations and assist customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Flexible schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Smile and greet customers and team members following Vallarta's six steps of service.
• Bag groceries quickly and according to Vallarta's procedures.
• Assist customers with carry-out and locating products in the store.
• Perform accurate price checks as requested.
• Safely gather shopping carts and keep store, parking lot, and perimeters clean.
• Report injuries, unsafe conditions, or misconduct to management.
