Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level team member to support various retail tasks and customer service. You will assist with cart movement, trash collection, and general store upkeep while interacting with customers to provide friendly, above-and-beyond service.

The role involves collaborating with multiple departments, including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, and more. A hands-on, fast-paced environment awaits.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling products or using equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants escort shopping carts from outside the store to the interior.
• Assist with parking lot, lawn, and inside-store trash collection.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment during winter conditions.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns as needed.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning and maintenance.
• Support service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking areas.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
