Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level Team Member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks tied to store services, products, and customer service. Team Members enjoy interacting with people and delivering above-and-beyond service.

The role involves assisting customers, stocking, cleaning, and collaborating with several departments to ensure a smooth store operation. This position is ideal for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be attentive to details and able to stay organized in a fast-paced store environment.
• Excellent listening and communication with customers and teammates.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise and perform cleaning and stocking tasks.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside the store back inside.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot, lawn, and store areas.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment during winter conditions.
• Process perishable and salvage returns.
• Assist with basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Support service desk, entrance, checkout lanes, and parking lot teams.
• Collaborate with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral departments.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
