POSITION SUMMARY:

The Courtesy Clerk delivers quality customer service. The individual will ensure the customer is satisfied and encouraged to come back to Cardenas Markets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service- oriented manner;
• Bag customers' groceries in a careful and timely manner and assist customers with loading items into vehicle;
• Assist customers in obtaining forgotten items from aisles;
• Restock any returned items in appropriate shelf or display case;
• Collect shopping carts to ensure easy accessibility for customers' use;
• Follow safety guidelines of cart retrieval;
• Provide flexibility by helping in any area in order to support store needs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS:

• WALKING: Continuously, throughout shift, while moving about the store and handling merchandise.
• STANDING: Continuously, throughout shift.
• LIFTING: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.

Pay Scale $ 16.90 to $19.30 .
