Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level team member in Indianapolis to support daily store operations and customer service. Responsibilities include cart retrieval, trash collection, and basic cleaning, with opportunities to work with multiple store departments and service areas.

Qualifications

• Entry-level retail role with exposure to store tasks.

• Able to lift/carry/push/pull/bend/twist while handling products or equipment.

Responsibilities

• Move shopping carts from parking lot back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect parking lot, lawn, and store trash.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment for snow removal.
• Process perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, entry, check lanes and parking areas.
• Partner with departments across the store (Health & Beauty, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card & Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral).

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
