Job summary

The Department of Licensing (DOL) in Washington State is seeking two detail‑oriented Customer Service Specialists to support court testimony and ensure accurate driver and vehicle records. You will work with attorneys and court personnel to prepare for legal proceedings and respond to inquiries while traveling statewide.

You will bring at least three years of client service experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office, plus the ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally.

Qualifications

  • Three years of experience providing assistance to clients/customers regarding inquiries, complaints, or problems.
  • Experience in person, writing, or by phone where explaining rules, policies, and procedures is regular daily function.
  • Ability to travel statewide and accommodate occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure court testimony explains driver and vehicle record actions clearly and in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Use effective communication with attorneys to establish scope of each testimony, receive status updates and coordinate appearances.
  • Ensure the scope, status, and scheduling of court testimony are clearly established and coordinated to support timely and prioritized court appearances.
  • Maintain custodian of record responsibilities for Washington State district, municipal, superior, and federal courts, including assignment of custodians for subpoenas.
  • Prepare documentation required for court testimony and travel arrangements; travel may include overnight stays.
