Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Judicial Branch, 10th Circuit Court in Derry, NH is seeking a Per Diem Court Security Officer (3 Day) to safeguard staff and the public by screening visitors, conducting security checks, and responding to incidents. You will greet visitors, assist them to the correct areas, maintain courtroom order, and support court staff as needed.

A high school diploma or GED and at least one year in security or law enforcement are required; NH firearms license is preferred but not

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of security-related or law enforcement experience.
• Equivalent training/education to meet required skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides security for judges, court staff and the public.
• Maintains order and decorum in the courtroom.
• Performs security screening and removes firearms or contraband as needed.
• Provides information regarding court procedures to the public and witnesses.
• Inspects court areas and conducts perimeter checks for weapons/contraband.
• Escorts unruly persons from the court as requested by the judge.
• Patrols building and grounds; alarm and incident reporting.
• Responds to requests for assistance and provides first aid when needed.
