Summary Of Duties

Functions as a staff specialist conducting legal research and analyses; provides legal assistance to division and section chiefs; updates policy, procedures and rules of the Court; and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Education Requirements:

Completion of all academic requirements for a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Excess experience of the type and quality described below, or any administrative, professional, or other responsible work which required a high level of analytical skill may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.

Experience Requirements:

Four (4) years of responsible professional experience which involved the application and analysis of research methods and techniques in legal research or court matters.

Examples of acceptable work experience are, but not limited to: research and review of local or national legislation and recommendation of new or revision of legislation to any applicable law; serving as legal advisor; or providing legal research and analysis of court policies, procedures and rules of the Court.

Substitution of Education for Experience:

Graduation from an accredited school of law may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
