Fort Bend County is seeking a meticulous data entry specialist to support the district courts. You will examine, verify, and input case information into court computer systems, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

Responsibilities include processing and distributing documents, maintaining file order, answering public inquiries, calculating court costs, and assisting staff. This is a full-time, on-site role with access to the county's retirement system and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent data entry and typing skills (40 WPM).
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to interact with the public and county staff.
  • Ability to follow established office procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Examine, verify, and input data into court systems.
  • Verify, process, and distribute documents and maintain file order.
  • Index mass filings and research historical data.
  • Answer calls and respond to public inquiries.
  • Calculate and collect court costs per Texas Code.
  • Issue and track legal documents as directed by the court.
  • Support department staff and assist as needed.
  • Participate in emergency management duties as directed.
