• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, digital forensics, or a related field (relevant experience may substitute).
• Proficiency with digital forensic software such as Cellebrite and AXIOM.
• Ability to identify trends, relationships, and irregularities in digital evidence with high attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of search warrants, evidence handling protocols, and rules of evidence.
• Exceptional writing skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Evidence analysis: Review digital extractions to identify evidence such as call logs, encrypted messages, geo-location data, and deleted files.
• Reporting: Translate technical data and digital evidence into clear, concise narrative reports for use by Assistant State Attorneys.
• Court testimony: Serve as a witness to explain the data, review process, and findings discovered during analysis.
• Database management: Organize and maintain large volumes of digital evidence within secure servers, ensuring data integrity and chain of custody.
• Data security: Ensure forensic software and hardware are optimized for data processing and that evidence complies with security protocols and storage policies.
