Job summary

State of Delaware seeks a management-level supervisor to oversee judicial case management staff and ensure timely progress of court cases. You will supervise staff, plan methods to meet goals, and participate in pilot programs implementing new laws.

The role involves coordinating with diverse stakeholders, evaluating case flow, and representing the court on committees to resolve operational and legal issues at a high level.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in managing cases as they move through the legal process.
• Three years’ experience in researching files, records, and other sources of information.
• Three years’ experience in narrative report writing.
• Six months’ experience in staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Receives general direction and guidance from an administrative supervisor or higher in terms of broad goals and objectives; plans and establishes the methods for achieving goals and objectives and manages case management operations.
• Manages judicial case work by supervising and evaluating case management work and ensuring goals and objectives are met; supervises two or more full-time positions.
• Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs designed to expedite work and case flow and to implement new laws and court mandates; implements and participates in pilot projects.
• Works with internal and external groups to identify and resolve issues that impact court operations and case flow.
• Represents the court on committees, task forces and working groups.
• Communicates effectively with court management, law enforcement officials, judicial officers, and other high level government officials to advise on issues, identify and resolve operational or legal problems and ensure the court's goals and objectives are met.
