Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in business administration, public administration or management, English, digital communications, public relations, communications, journalism, or a closely related field.
• Five or more years of related work experience, including two years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• A master's degree in an area cited above may substitute for two years of the recommended non-management experience.
• A Juris Doctor degree may substitute for three years of the recommended non-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee strategic communications, media relations, and public outreach for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit.
• Writes, edits and disseminates press releases, public service announcements, and other publications for internal and external audiences.
• Coordinates communications across departments to ensure consistency and alignment with organizational policies.
• Monitors media coverage and coordinates public records requests; oversees Probate and Guardianship staff.
• Supervises the P&G division and sets performance goals; liaises with judiciary, JAC, and external partners.
