Job summary

Lifeline Community Services, Inc. seeks a Substance Use Specialist (SUS) for Dependency Drug Court coordination.

Under the program manager, the SUS provides screening, linkage to SUD treatment, and ongoing coordination for DDC and non-DDC participants, representing providers during sessions and sharing progress with the court. This full‑time role requires English/Spanish bilingual ability, California SUD Counselor registration within 30 days, and at least one year of related experience;

Qualifications

• Two checklists: bilingual English/Spanish preferred; knowledge of SUD counseling.
• At least 1 year related experience in substance abuse/counseling.
• Experience or training in CBT, DBT, or Seeking Safety is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screenings and facilitate linkage to SUD treatment providers and services.
• Maintain ongoing communication with providers, social workers, and court representatives.
• Facilitate engagement with SUD treatment providers for participants.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to plan monthly program activities.
• Complete progress notes per county guidelines and enter into mhOMS EHR.
• Attend Dependency Drug Court sessions and follow up on treatment issues.
