FedEx Corporation in South Bend, IN is seeking a weekday courier (AM Swing) to operate company vehicles for delivery and pickup. Be prepared for fixed M-F shifts 0700–1630 with variable start/end times; pay range is $23.52–$33.84 per hour.

Must be 21+, lift 50 lbs, and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. High school diploma or GED required; six months courier experience preferred and strong area knowledge.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Monday through Friday, AM Shift Swing position. Variable start and end times.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Note: there are specific requirements for any employee that operates a company vehicle. Please refer to policy 4-48 for exact job requirements. Must obtain and maintain a valid’s license in accordance with your state requirements for type of vehicle assigned and have good driving record as outlined in policy. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
