Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a courteous and efficient delivery driver based in Plum, PA. You will operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages, while maintaining safety and adhering to FedEx service features.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to read and speak English for traffic signs and directions. Shifts vary, with five days a week at the Plum location, and a benefits package including health, vision, dental, retirement, and tuition

Responsibilities

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages; checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service features; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; performs related customer service functions; performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance required since customer contact is required. Must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for the type of vehicle assigned and have a good driving record as outlined in policy. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Pay Transparency

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. The company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay

23.42 per hour

Additional Details

Various shifts with 2 days off per week. Desired location for this position would be Plum, PA. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.
