Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is hiring for a delivery driver to operate company vehicles, ensuring courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages. You will check shipments for service conformance and provide coverage on all routes within the station's service area, while performing related customer service duties.

Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED, with six months of courier experience preferred. Starting pay is $22.30 per hour, with a Monday–Friday AM shift.

Minimum Education

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

• Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
• Must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for type of vehicle assigned and have a good driving record as outlined in policy.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Preferred Qualifications

Starting Pay $22.30.

Schedule

Monday – Friday AM Shift.
