Job summary

FedEx is seeking a delivery driver in Shakopee, MN. You will operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages with courtesy and efficiency, while ensuring shipments meet FedEx service standards.

Responsibilities include route coverage within the station area, and performing related customer service tasks. Requires 21+ and ability to lift 50 lbs with equipment or assistance. Training on safety guidelines will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months courier experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for traffic signs and inquiries.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with equipment or assistance.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of the station's service area preferred.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Note: there are specific requirements for any employee that operates a company vehicle. Please refer to policy 4-48 for exact job requirements. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with your state requirements for type of vehicle assigned and have good driving record as outlined in policy. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

In California, the compensation listed reflects the range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position upon hire. In New Jersey, any compensable Security and Walk time will be paid to non-exempt/hourly employees at the state minimum wage.

Pay: $24.70/hr

Additional Details: The schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday, 6:00am - 1:00pm. Schedule may vary based on operational need(s).
