Job summary

Fayette County Hospital is seeking a Courier (PRN) to deliver prescription medications and supplies for our pharmacy departments. This on-call position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and supports specialty, hospice, retail, and home infusion services.

Responsibilities include timely courier runs, maintaining vehicle readiness, and relaying information between clients and the lab. A High School diploma and Illinois driver's license are required; pay starts at $16.54 per hour with a pay scale to

Responsibilities

• Deliver supplies, reports, forms, mail, instruments and other items to clients.
• Develop close relationships with clients and pass information to the lab as deemed necessary for client-lab relations.
• Drive a courier vehicle in a safe, but timely manner to locations assigned on time schedule.
• Maintain a collaborative framework for SBL and medical community to provide services to the patient population.
• Maintain proper operating conditions for courier vehicles and assure timely maintenance or repairs are performed.
• Records daily specimen pickup information using the Outreach Operations Application via OPS Handheld Devices, utilize proper containers and preservatives for specimen transfer to the hospital laboratory.
