Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services seeks a part-time courier to document, package and transport samples following project plans. You will drive long distances, including potential routes into Illinois, Ohio and Indiana, up to 300 miles from Portage, MI.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid US driver’s license, ability to operate a vehicle, and strong English communication and record-keeping skills. Flexible hours include day, evening, and some weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid state issued driver’s license to drive delivery vehicles is required as an employee with driving responsibilities.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to use Smartphone.
• Must be willing and able to drive long distances (4+ hours)
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including reading, writing and speaking in English.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Documenting, packaging and transporting samples in accordance with appropriate project-specific sampling and analysis plans/protocols
• Maintaining quality control of all assignments and completing documents in a timely manner
• Following and enforcing company health and safety policies
• Following technical instructions and guidance
• Long distance driving and night driving, as needed
• Routes may include driving into Illinois, Ohio, and Indiana
• Routes will be a maximum of 300 miles from Portage, MI
• Additional duties as assigned
• The position is part-time, on an as needed basis. Hours will be as needed throughout the week, with an estimated 15-20 hours/week on average, but hours may fluctuate week to week. Hours could be during the day, evening, or occasionally on weekends.

Job Description

Courier responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
