FedEx is seeking a driver/operator to deliver packages with courteous service and perform related duties. The role includes operating company vehicles and assisting customers as needed. You will work with am and pm sorts and must hold a valid vehicle license.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and proficiency in English for safety and directions. FedEx is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with assistive devices.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must read and speak English sufficiently for traffic signs and inquiries.
• Must hold a valid license for assigned vehicle type.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this position. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned. Neat appearance since customer contact may be required. Drivers vehicles not regulated by section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations.
