Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a driver/operator for company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages with courteous, efficient service. You will check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provide related customer service functions.

Position requires a High School Diploma/GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, valid license for vehicle type, and availability Mon–Fri 2pm–8pm. Vets/Disability considerations apply. Pay starts at $22.11/hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with officials.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be licensed for the vehicle type assigned.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Mon–Fri 2pm–8pm.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick-up packages courteously and efficiently.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service features and provide customer service.
• Drive company vehicles and operate within FMCSA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Drives vehicles not regulated by section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 Lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Pay Transparency

Pay: Starting Wage is $22.11 / hour
