Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a driver/operator of company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages. You will check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and perform related customer service functions.

This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, be at least 21, and have a neat appearance due to customer contact. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with responsibilities including safe vehicle operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for signs and inquiries.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle heavier packages with equipment or assistance.
• Customer-facing role with neat appearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up packages with courteous and efficient service.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service features and provide related customer service.
• Operate company vehicles not regulated by FMCSA 391.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00–5:00.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 Lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
