Job summary

Federal Express Corporation seeks a driver/operator for Alpena, MI, delivering and picking up packages with courteous, efficient service. You will check shipments for conformance to FedEx standards and drive non-regulated vehicles. The role requires a high school diploma and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

The schedule is Mon, Wed–Sat, approx 20–25 hours/week. Must be 21+ years old, able to read and speak English for traffic signs and inquiries, and licensed for the vehicle type.

• Drive vehicles as assigned and adhere to FMCSA regulations; drive a non-regulated vehicle.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Driver/operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Drives vehicles not regulated by section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to lift 50 Lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Pay Transparency

Pay: $22.10 / hour

Additional Details

Mon, Wednesday through Saturday. Sun and Tuesday off 8:00AM-3:00PM, approx 20-25 hours/wk. The desired location for this position would be Alpena, MI. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.
