Job summary

Interpath Laboratory, Inc is seeking a friendly Courier to ensure timely transportation of medical specimens and supplies in Grants Pass, Oregon. This PRN/as needed role requires a clean driving record and a high school diploma, with strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Training and collaborative teamwork are provided to support patient care. The position offers benefits including health/dental/vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, PTO, and in-house lab testing opportunities, with shifts

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong preference for candidates with previous driving/courier experience.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license; clean driving record.

Job description

We are looking for a friendly and customer-service-oriented Courier with a clean driving record to enhance our team.

Pay: $16 - $20.66 per hour DOE

Schedule: PRN/as needed Monday - Friday

In This Role, You Will

• Coordinate timely and efficient transportation of medical specimens and supplies.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and employees.

Education & Certification

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Strong preference for candidates with previous driving/courier experience

Licensing & Driving Requirements

Skills & Competencies

• Navigation, punctuality, and ability to follow detailed instructions
• Ability to drive in inclement weather

General Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs. Occasional lifting of 30-60 lbs.
• Ability to enter and exit assigned vehicle. Able to sit in vehicle/drive for up to 4 hours nonstop.
• Ability to load & unload assigned vehicle, with frequent bending involved.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment as needed.
• Regularly handle potentially infectious samples
• Ability to drive assigned vehicle in all types of conditions, including built-up areas, freeway, and rural traffic, hours of darkness, and inclement weather.
• May be exposed to odorous chemicals and specimens
• Occasional-to-regular kneeling, bending, stooping and twisting to perform vehicle inspections and minor operator maintenance, including changing tires.

OHSA Category:

This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
