Job summary

Federal Express Corporation seeks a driver/operator for company vehicles in Lancaster, PA. You will deliver and pick up packages with courtesy and efficiency, and provide related customer service functions. A high school diploma or GED is required, and you must be licensed for your vehicle type.

The role is part-time, five days a week, with 23.21–32.83 USD hourly pay. Applicants must be at least 21, pass FMCSA/FAA medical examinations, and be able to read and speak English enough to understand

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and customer-service skills.
• Must meet FMCSA/FAA medical and safety regulations; 21+ years old; read/speak English sufficiently.

• Deliver and pick up packages using company vehicles.
• Ensure shipments comply with FedEx service standards and assist customers as needed.
• Perform duties as assigned by supervision.

Job description

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Preferred Qualifications

The desired location for this position would be Lancaster PA. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week
